A youth-led creative initiative amplifying the voices of young Sierra Leoneans through art and culture.
The Creative Arts Festival was created as part of the National Evidence Summit (NES) programme, bringing together young people aged 11–24 from the Western Area Urban and Rural districts of Sierra Leone.
Through poetry, drama, visual arts, digital arts, music, dance, fashion and more, participants share original creative works that express their lived experiences after crises such as Ebola, COVID-19, and mudslides.
All entries are used as part of research for the After The End project, which studies how young people navigate recovery, build resilience, and envision the future after devastating events.
The festival is organised by IfD (Institute for Development) and supported by After The End as a research partner and sponsor.
